APRS Limited G3 Good

APRS was ok until I went over the ridge and lost contact with my car.

There are a lot more obstacles then the maps describe. I intentally came from the front as the vegetation had been cleared out by the fire in 2012. This made the first km straight forward then hit rock faces. The pace slowed. This was just a case of working around until a path could be found. The combination of rocks and rain made for a challenging trek. Still better then dry and 40℃ or fires.

Setup as soon as was in the zone. I was looking for a clearing large enough to setup the antenna and safe enough given the weather. Also getting tired of climbing rocks.

From the top I had a look around and decided to go over the front of the hill straight down to get out.  Was not going to get a second activation in but still wanted to checkout the track to Victoria point.

It took three scrubs before the pack was clean.Home in time to see Dr Who.

You really work for the points in the Grampians.
