more Raspberry Pi’s

The Raspberry Pis are slowly but steadily increasing in numbers. First thing to go astray was the version of OS install. Whilst the config will depend on the devices role all are running the same base install. The Raspbian image for all models of Raspberry Pi is now based on Buster, the latest version of Debian Linux. Debian 10.6 was released on September 26th, 2020. Debian 10.0 was initially released on July 6th, 2019.  IP addresses are via DHCP as have an entry for each on the DHCP server to MAC address.

SMSGateway

SMSGateway

This device is the SMS gateway for PnP A Pi 3 with Sixfab 3G/4G shield. Thanks to Ian for the Pi.

Lethe

Lethe

(Greek spirit: the spirit of forgetfulness and oblivion). Pi4 with 4G.  Has a BME680 sensor and RTD SDR.

Physically installed on the back of a screen it also displays APRS activity.

Gateway & Monitor

Two devices acting as gateway between LoRa and IP. They are configured as a HA pair. Forwards data from Arduino’s running LoRa, to Dolos for processing.

Dolos

(Dolos (or Dolus) was the god or daemon of trickery, cunning deception, craftiness, guile, and treachery. P4 2G 250SSD drive hosting the API for home sensor network. Current conditions via Apache web server drawing from MySQL database. LAMP stack on Raspbain OS.

Apate

Apate

(Dolos female counterpart and sister Apate, the goddess of fraud and deception). Pi3 16G SD. Sixfab power board. This is the device to take portable for digital modes. Wireless hotspot, FLDI & wsjt. Built using KM4ACK build a Pi script. Witht he power bord it can be powered from a standard USB supply, external battery or using the internal 2000mAh Lipo.

When portable it will raise a WiFi hotspot and I connect to the desktop via an iPad running VNC viewer. Works fine but no real advantage over a notebook. Yes smaller and lighter but you are still dealing with a GUI and the case is less than rugged. Have sourced a Dell 1504 Rugged notebook and currently setting it up for use when out.

Enyo

(Goddess of War, Destruction, Conquest, and Bloodlust). Pi Zero. hosts a Metriful MS430 & AS3935 Franklin Lightning Sensor.

Finally couple of test devices;
